Your files and text stay on your device

Every tool on UseBrowserTools runs as code inside your web browser. The files you open and the text you type are read and processed locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers, not stored by us, and not transmitted to any third party. When you close or reload the page, that data is gone. We could not access your files even if we wanted to.

Information we do collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run and improve the site:

• Usage analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand which tools are popular and how the site performs — for example page views, general location (country/city level), device and browser type. This is aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser user-agent) for security and reliability.
• Advertising data. We show ads via Google AdSense (see below), which uses cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies and advertising

UseBrowserTools uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits.

• Visitors in the EEA, UK and other regions are asked for consent before personalised ads and non-essential cookies are used, as required by law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not collect the contents of your files and hold very little personal data, most requests relate to analytics or advertising cookies, which you can control through your browser settings and the Google links above. Children

UseBrowserTools is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
